Privacy and terms

ForJugglers is run by Acid Test Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17448461). Our registered office is 8 Garden Close, Watford, WD17 3DP, United Kingdom. ForJugglers is under development and open to testers by invitation only. Questions go to [email protected].

Privacy policy

ForJugglers keeps only what it needs to run ForJugglers for you. It's for people aged 14 or over, so we don't knowingly keep anything about anyone younger.

What we keep

• Your email address and password. The password is stored only in a scrambled form that can't be turned back into it.
• Everything you write in ForJugglers: projects, notes, tasks, bookings and comments, and any export from the ForJugglers prototype you import.
• For each device you sign in on, the IP address and device description (its browser or app) it signed in from, to keep your account secure.
• If you test the iPhone app: what Apple's TestFlight shares with us, such as your name and email address, when you installed and opened the app, crash reports and any feedback you send. Apple runs TestFlight under its own privacy policy.

Why

Only to run ForJugglers for you: to sign you in, save your work and show it to you on your devices. The law calls these our lawful bases: providing the service you signed up for, and our legitimate interest in keeping your account secure.

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. ForJugglers has no ads, analytics or trackers.

Where it's kept

Your account and workspace are stored on a server we rent from Hetzner Online in Finland. Emails we send you, such as a link to reset your password, go through an email delivery service. Both handle your data only on our behalf.

Each device you use keeps a copy of your workspace, so ForJugglers works without a connection. The copy opens only while you're signed in.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete it, in Settings, your account and workspace are deleted straight away and you're signed out everywhere. The device you delete it on forgets its copy. To remove the copy from another device, delete the app there, or clear this site's data in that browser.

Your rights

You can see, correct and download everything in your workspace at any time: Download your workspace, the button beside the save status in the menu, saves it all to a file. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.

Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and us, Acid Test Ventures Ltd (our details are at the top of this page), for using ForJugglers on the website and in the iPhone app. By creating an account, you agree to them.

ForJugglers is still being built

ForJugglers is under development and open to testers by invitation only. While we build it, features will change, some may be removed, and things won't always work as they should. It may sometimes be unavailable.

For now, the iPhone app comes by invitation through Apple's TestFlight, and Apple's own terms apply to TestFlight.

If something goes wrong, or you have an idea, email [email protected] or send feedback through TestFlight. We may use your ideas to improve ForJugglers without owing you anything for them.

It's free while we test it

ForJugglers is free while it's being tested. If we decide to charge for it, we'll tell you first, and we'll never charge you anything unless you've agreed to pay.

Your account

You need to be 14 or over to use ForJugglers. An account is for one person, so please don't share yours. Keep your password to yourself: one you don't use anywhere else is safest. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away and we'll sign it out everywhere.

Your work

What you write in ForJugglers stays yours. You let us store it and show it to you on your devices, only so we can run ForJugglers for you, as the privacy policy explains.

We don't keep backups yet, so it's wise to keep your own copy of anything important. Download your workspace, the button beside the save status in the menu, saves it all to a file whenever you're signed in.

Using ForJugglers fairly

Don't use ForJugglers to break the law or to harm anyone. Don't try to get into anyone else's account, or to disrupt ForJugglers or the systems it runs on.

While it's being tested, please don't put anything in ForJugglers that isn't yours to store, such as someone else's confidential information.

Ending

You can stop using ForJugglers whenever you like, and delete your account in Settings, under Your account. Your account and workspace are deleted straight away. The privacy policy says what happens to the copies on your devices.

We may end testing, or close your account (for example, one made without an invitation), by emailing you at least 30 days before, so you can download your workspace. If we end testing, that email will say whether your workspace carries over to the released ForJugglers or will be deleted.

We'll close an account sooner, without notice, only if it's being used to break the law, to harm anyone, or to attack ForJugglers or other people's accounts. Closing an account deletes it and its workspace, just as deleting it yourself does.

Our responsibility to you

ForJugglers is free and still being tested, so we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. We'll run it with reasonable care and skill. If we don't, or we break these terms, we're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profit or income.

Our total responsibility to you for any loss is limited to what you've paid us for your ForJugglers subscription in the 12 months before the loss. While ForJugglers is free, that's nothing.

There are no backups yet, so keeping your own copy is the surest protection against losing work.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law says it can't be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is to your disadvantage, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with it, you can download your workspace and delete your account before then.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. If you live outside the UK, you keep any protection the law where you live gives you.
